Terms of Service

This is a working draft prepared so counsel can review it. Until it is approved and dated, the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy describe how the service actually operates.

1. Who we are

ProbeHunt (“we”, “us”) is a security-testing service operated by DIGITALIC.ID, Indonesia. These Terms apply to the website, the free security check, monitoring alerts and any early-access features (together, the “Service”).

2. Authorized use only

You may use the Service only against domains, applications and infrastructure that you own or are explicitly authorized in writing to test. Before any check runs, you must prove control of the asset (for example with a DNS TXT record). You confirm that every asset you verify is yours or that you hold that authorization, and you are responsible for keeping that authorization current. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms.

3. What the free check does

The free check is passive and read-only: it reads public DNS records, public Certificate Transparency logs, and the responses of ordinary web requests to your verified domain. It does not attempt to exploit, overload or change your systems. Results are automated, may contain false positives or miss issues, and are not a substitute for a professional assessment or a guarantee of security.

4. Accounts and early access

Early-access features may change, be limited or be withdrawn at any time. If accounts are introduced, you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

5. Fees

The free check is free. Paid plans, when offered, will show their price before purchase. Indonesian payments may be processed by Pakasir (QRIS / Virtual Account); international payments by a payment provider named at checkout. Prices shown during early access are indicative.

6. Your data and reports

You own the results of checks you run on your assets. We process personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, in line with Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27/2022) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

7. Suspension

We may refuse, rate-limit, suspend or terminate access — without notice where necessary — if we reasonably believe the Service is being used without authorization, abusively, unlawfully, or in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. Where the law requires, we may preserve records and report misuse to the relevant authorities.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your use of the Service against assets you were not authorized to test. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Liability cap amount to be set by counsel.]

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date and, where we have your email, by email.

10. Governing law
